Ruger Red Label 20 guage over/under shotgun
Is the Ruger Red Label over/under 20 guage shotgun a good one? I know where there is one new in the box (unfired) for $800. What do you think? Thanks.

1950Kid glad you did.Enjoy it. Great shotgun. If it has the auto safety you can return it to Ruger and have changed. I had one I had done and it wasn't to expensive to convert. That's was several years ago. I'm sure they still offer this service. Ruger Redhawk

The auto safety engages when you close ( maybe on openning)the gun.The safety will be in the on position automatically and you have to take it off to fire. Not sure how they do it. If it's a completely new safety or an adjustment in the existing safety. They make it to operate like a regular manual safety.Hope I explained it okay?Ruger Redhawk
I was thinking maybe they did away with the auto safety. I got mine when they first came out in the late 70's early 80's. It will be easy to check by openning and closing the gun. Ruger Redhawk
