Default Once again, I'm amazed at Hill Country Rifles!

So I had HCR build me a custom .300 win. mag. recently.

They were nice enough to let me exchange the Swaro Z3 3-10x42 I originally bought with the rifle for a Z5 3.5-18x44.

I sent them my rifle so they could mount and sight in the new scope.

When the originally shot the rifle, they got a .559" 3 shot group with 180gr. Hornady Interlocks....not too shabby at all!!!

I asked them to sight the rifle in with 180gr. TSX's this time since that's what I'll be hunting with.

I just got an email that my new scope mount/sight in was done and this time they got a .355" 3 shot group with the 180gr. TSX's!

Are you freakin' kidding me? .355" group with factory ammo???

These guys know what they're doing!!!!

Ridge,

This is my first custom build, so this level of accuracy is a little foreign to me.

Can't wait to start tinkering with handloads to see if I can shrink that group even more.

Those are some awesome groups you posted!!!!

Some of us call that............... relative accuracy.

I'm good with that !!!

Most importantly, Congrats on the new rifle !

Yup Schoolcraft, that's a fine shooting rifle for something with the bolt on the wrong side and a barrel that's too short!! hahaha
