Trigger Replacement
I Have a left handed Remington 700 BDL in 30.06. The trigger I have is one that came standard with guns prior to the X-Mark Pro trigger. I'm looking for an aftermarket trigger to put on my gun that won't brake the bank. Maybe $100-$200 would be ideal. Can anyone suggest a good one for my gun? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I just brought a JP Enterprise for my AR.
Others; Geissele Jewell Jard Timney Rifle Basix To name a few..... |
Timney makes a great trigger and will only run you about $125

+1 on the Timney. Also, check out Rifle Basix. They are usually less than $150.

Any gunsmith worth his salt tune the walker trigger to feel as nice as aftermarket. My 'smith done mine, he set it 2.5lbs and brakes like a glass rod. And it would be way cheaper than buying a aftermarket.

Timney makes a nice trigger as do others. However I agree that you can get that pre x mark rem trigger feeling sweet, take it to good gunsmith in your area first.

I agree with Skeeter. There are several excellent aftermarket triggers out there. However, I have worked on at least 20 of my own Walker triggers (721. 722, 700)over the years with excellent results. Since most of these were hunting triggers, I seldom set pulls at much less than 3 lbs. But, I have worked my target/varmint triggers to considerably less than that. The one caveat is that when adjusted to light weights, it is important to keep the trigger internals very clean so that the connector can operate freely.
