160gr Nosler Partition. Works great on deer, and should on elk. If I were to go antelope or something lighter then deer, then I would look at 140gr, but with the 160, one bullet, one load, only one bullet drop to deal with.

The type of bullet can be more important than the weight in 7MM Rem. Using a slow expanding bullet for deer can lead to poor expansion if you don't hit heavy bone. And, the opposite can be true if you use lighter, faster expanding bullets on an elk, causing poor penetration. In either case, you could end up with a difficult tracking job.
