Need advice plz
Calling all gun nuts with their vast knowledge...Am looking for a new deer hunting rifle cambered in .270.With that being said here is my dilema.......i shoot left handed an the prices i've seen so far are alittle pricey on the left handed models......what would be the cons of shooting a right handed rifle.....also am looking toward the t/c venture due to my budget being around $500 ........have a Nikon Monarch ready to top off the rifle.........Thanks in advance..

i am left handed and shoot a right handed bolt. just like you said pricier and harder to find. i also shoot a .270. It really isnt a big deal you just know you have to hit that first shot. i take my left hand put it across the gun and work the bolt while still maintaining aiming in the area of the target, since i will tend to lose sight on target a lot practicing looking at something then being able to pull up the scope right on it is good practice, all in all its not that inconvenient. you will still be able to shoot accurate

Left Hander
I would take a look at a Rem ington 7600 in 270. The safety can be switched to oposite side for you. Very accurate/reliable rifle. I have two of them.

I have a buddy that is left handed and has always shot right handed bolt guns. He bought a TC and got a 22.250, 25.06 and a very special 300 win mag barrel. He's still not really happy. Although, he is okay with the mediocre accuracy for a hunting rifle, he is still not happy. He told me he will never buy another hunting rifle until he gets exactly what he wants in a left handed bolt action rifle. They should make more choices for you lefties!
Good luck!!:party0005: |
