Mossberg 500 Opinions

The first gun I bought was a Mossberg 500. For years it was my bird and deer gun. I have since moved on to "nicer" firearms. But my Mossberg, now with a scope sits in the safe waiting for the call. Should I ever need it, I would have no hesitation taking it.
