Flattest Shooting: 270win, 308, or 7mm RM

Which is the flattest shooting? 270win, 308, or 7mm rem mag?

i think the .270 shoots the flattest, then 7mm, then .308

the .270 and 7mm are so close though it doesnt much make a difference i would think.

Using factory loads, the 7mm RM throws a 140 gr a little flatter than a .270 130 gr., at least according to the published ballistics tables. But, the difference isn't much. No more than a couple inches at 500 yards...

By the way... I like those CRKT knives. I carry an M16-14.

Yeah, I love my CRKT m16 its really a great tactical/self defense knife, but some times i carry my good old buck 110 to mix it up. that one saw alot of dead rabbits over the summer in oklahoma.

Using standard factory ammo the edge would go to the 270 win and 7 mag. The 308 win is out. More pricey ammo like hornady light mag both the 270 and the 7mm have nice ballistics. They are both really close to trajectory if using like bullets and weights. Same with reloading both are close all depending on bullet selection and starting velocities. I have reloads in 270 win that match the 270wsm velocities and are very accurate. My vote would have to go to the 270win using medium weight bullets.

7mm rm ................

Depends...the 7mm RM with 168 or 180 VLD's will out shine the .270 out past 500yrds...either will be pretty flat under 500yrds shooting light bullets...

7mm rem mag, 270win and 308win in that order. First 2 out shine the 308 by a good margin. Rem mag being first due to it's ability to toss heavier projectiles, which are less subject to energy loss, drift, etc.
