Winchester 1300 20 ga.

I am also posting this in the firearms review section.

Looking into getting my wife a 20 ga. She has been shooting one of my 12 gauges for the last few years at doves, but the recoil is a bit more than she would like. Opportunity on a brand new Winchester 1300 with 3 different chokes for $350...decent deal and gun, or look for something else?

Not sure what you top end budget range is. If your wife likes a pump action, and you can go this route .. look at the Browning BPS. If she has a small frame, the BPS Micro might be a better choice. Nothing that I know of "wrong" with the Model 1300. I just like the bottom eject and super slick action of the BPS. My daughter ended up buying a Rem. 870 Wingmaster in 20 ga. in a youth size and loves hers. So ... guess what I am saying, whatever your wife's druthers, go for it.

I'd look at an 870 or 1100 in 20 ga.

Thanks...very objective.
