anyone ever shot/ own one of these guns before? it is chambered in the 8X57

They were produced in several calibers including 30-06, 7x57, and 7.65, and 8x57. I believe more were produced in 30-06 than any other caliber.

Do you have one? They produced about 38,000 of them in 8 X 57, but they also made about 125,000 in 30/06 for various countries, 8,000 in 7 X 57 for Venezuala and over 5,000 of them in 7.65 for Argentina. If you own one it is probably 8 X 57, but make sure before you stuff anything in it.
I have never shot one, but was at the ronge many years ago when my grandfather fired one after reparing it. Functioned well and shot ok, accuracy-wise.

i look on this website everyday to see what they get in . www.ktterytradingpost.com
they have one in stock that just came in on the weekend. going for $450.00 if they only came in a 10 round mag and do not seel anything bigger than 10 round mags with my license i might just pick one up and trade in my C.V.A.
