Dixie Tri-ball???

Anybody out there use Dixie Slugs Tri-Ball?

If so,
What guage?
What barrel length?
What choke?
Max yardage?

I've got to repattern(select a new choke) my shotgun for this year because I switched to the 20"barrel for my M500 12ga.

With the 28"barrel I could get the 3 balls withing 3 inches @ 40 yards with a flush modified choke and within 8 inches using the 24" rifled barrel.

It's my understanding that this load was designed to be shot through a turkey choke. Try a .660" in a 12 guage. Here's the link to the page where he states this.

Centaur,

Thanks, I've read all their info. And like anything else, all setups perform differently. I'm not searching for a set up, I was just curious if anyone else here was using the ammo and what their set up was.

Cheers
Alex

Dixie Slugs' choke recommendations were revised some time ago to reflect the thicker wad used with the current Dixie Tri-Ball Buckshot load.
Extended full to extra-full chokes (.695" to .675" constrictions for guns with standard .730" bore diameters) are recommended.
