You can't go wrong with either. It's just personal prefrence. I will always choose the 700 over the rest. For no particular reason, it's my favorite bolt action.

The only 2 bolt action rifles i've owned were both rem 700's.I never had a problem with either one. Both were good shooters, but my next rifle will be the model 70 in .308.IMO the winchester is a better finished rifle.

You cut out that extractor fixed clip on a 700 and install a sako type spring extractor, give me a 700 anyday. But as they sit, win70 CRF

elaborate please...

does the sako A7 have this? sako 85?

thanks.

I have had both, personally I have to pick Remington. I do like the controlled round feed of the Winchester better than the push feed system of the Remington. However The Winchesters I have owned do not shoot quite as well as a Remington 700. The last Wichester I owned was a Model 70 Featherweight 30-06, beautifull rifle, just didnt posess the accuracy I beleived it should have. Just my personal experience, not trying to start another heated arguement.

I have a 700 & 70 and I love them both. I am more impressed with my m70 .270 featherweight though. You really can't go wrong with either one of these...

All sako'es, even brownings. I hate the metal clip that gathers brass in the factory 700's.

This is the only way to fly for me.
