The new model 70's are really nice, well-made guns. I'd like one someday. They are the best 70's ever made IMHO and that includes the pre-64's that I'm very familiar with.

I have a Remington model 7 stainless/synthetic in 300 SAUM wit a Leupold VX3 in 2.8-8 x 36mm

The new ones look real nice, and everything Ive heard, is they feed smoother then the new haven models. Now my 7mm mag, circa 1995 vintage with the BOSS, has always fed smooth, trigger was decent out of the box, and shoot good. When I bought the identical gun in 2002 in 300 RUM, I was stunned at how rough the action felt, how rediculous the trigger pull was, etc. I had the trigger worked on, and when you find it's sweat load, it drives tacks. After a couple hundred rounds, it has slowly smoothed out. If I get around to adding to the collection for me, and not the wife,(shes an Xbolt fan), I am seriously looking at either a 300 or 325wsm, in model 70 of course! May consider featherweight as they look nice.
