Default Just picked up my Browning X-bolt .308

Looked at all the guns at a local dealer looking for a deer/big game rifle and decided on the Browning X-bolt medallon .308.. It felt the best and has nice features not to mention its the medallon so its a beautiful gun as well.. Anyone own one of these? any feedback? I shot four rounds out of it today just messing about but will sight it in this weekend. Also got the new hornady superformance loads and havent heard much on them.

I have never owned a X-bolt but I have owned several A-bolts. Every A-bolt that I have ever owned were great shooters. I bought a A-bolt 30.06 from a friend of mine. He had done a lot of work to it himself. At 100 yards, it was the best shooting 30 cal I have ever owned. I hope you have the same luck with the X-bolt but I can't give an opinion on them.

I have a X-Bolt Hunter in 270 Winchester. The quality fit and finish on these rifles is excellent. I topped mine off with a Zeiss Conquest mounted in DNZ Game Reaper mounts. Mine has proven to be very accurate with several different 130 and 140 grain bullets. The barrel can heat up pretty quick so I take my time when shooting.

Glad to hear you like your new rifle. I was impressed with the accuracy of the Superformance 140 grain SST's from my X-Bolt.
