Just picked up my Browning X-bolt .308
#1
Looked at all the guns at a local dealer looking for a deer/big game rifle and decided on the Browning X-bolt medallon .308.. It felt the best and has nice features not to mention its the medallon so its a beautiful gun as well.. Anyone own one of these? any feedback? I shot four rounds out of it today just messing about but will sight it in this weekend. Also got the new hornady superformance loads and havent heard much on them.

I have never owned a X-bolt but I have owned several A-bolts. Every A-bolt that I have ever owned were great shooters. I bought a A-bolt 30.06 from a friend of mine. He had done a lot of work to it himself. At 100 yards, it was the best shooting 30 cal I have ever owned. I hope you have the same luck with the X-bolt but I can't give an opinion on them.

thanks guys... shot it last weekend, shot great.. after i sighted it in at 100 i took a shot at 226yds and put the shot in a circle the size of a softball so im very happy with that... also switched to 150gr superformance sst's which r at 3000fps, bout the fastest i could find for the .308..

Glad to hear you like your new rifle. I was impressed with the accuracy of the Superformance 140 grain SST's from my X-Bolt.
