Bolt lube?
 

What do you guys prefer to use for gun lube?

specifically to lubricate the bolt/action?

Any more I use Prolix for all my gun lubrication needs. I also like the fact that it is not harmfull to wood.

Castrol Sythetic Gun Lube. Or Break Free CLP, both are excellent but I perfer the Castrol.

Breakfree CLP

Lithium grease , automotive / marine application.
Some of those " gun lubes " are over priced.
It works really good on 1911's and other pistols that cycle at a high rate and wont run or evaporate like oil. Works great .

Better than paying $14 for a small seringe type dispenser w/ some synthetic grease.

Weapon Shield is by far the best lubricant for any gun. I had a 1911 .45 that was jamming. I put weapon shield on all the working parts and it hasn't jammed since. I have never found anything that is as slick as this stuff. It penetrates in to the metal. Try it.

the best lube ive ever tried was tc's gorilla grease but often i run my bolts dry. actually the only time ive ever seen bolts being lubricated is during bench rest matches. does anyone know why some of the bench guys out there lube up their locking lugs every ten shots :confused0024: i guess there's reasoning to it because i see so many doing it but imo a action that is trued up should be slick enough on its own.
