Savage mod 12 rem 223

This rifle is a one in nine twist. Could someone please tell me what factory loaded ammo I should try? I hate to have to go buy one box of each of the 40 or so 20 round boxes , that could get expensive:mad: Thanks to all!!!

Your good for bullets in the 40 to 70 grains, any heavier and you would need a faster twist rate. I reload so i can't help you here but i've heard that hornady ammo is really good, again 2nd hand info.

I have a Savage that is supposed to be a 1 in 9 twist. The most accurate bullet I have tried so far was a Nosler 60 grain ballistic tip. That said I shoot a 75 grain Hornady Amax under an inch also.

Mine shot the 55 gr. VMax extremely accurately.
