I have one in .280 with the SS barrel.It's ultra accurate with Feds 150gr load.I've yet to better it with any of my reloads.The pad that came on it is pretty good as is the trigger.I'm sure there are better aftermarket pads and triggers available but I honestly see no need to replace either.
The one i shot felt fine to me too Bernie.To tell you the truth it was in 308,it didn't feel like it recoiled much more than my 243,and i was shooting 180g bullets
