Maine Shooter

Have had one of the Savage 340's in .30-30 for a long time - was my 1st rifle too. It is now as is has been a very accurate rifle even with the open sights. Not as classy and finely appointed as others but is a perfect working gun. The deer and targets don't care what the finish is or how pretty is looks. Plain and simple - it's works - period.
