2 glock questions
one is simple lasermax or crimson trace and why?
Second is for CC would you go with a compact or sub compact, I am thinking about buying a glock 9mm and will use it to carry when going shoulder holster for days I ant wearing a belt , I think my 21 is just to dam big for the shoulder rig |
#1. Crimson trace. It's adjustable for POI, no buttons to manipulate, and far more durable than the laser max. The LM takes a lot of abuse operating as the guide rod and those little bitty fragile electronics don't like it too much. They are notorious for malfunction.
#2. You really just have to try them on. I don't like the 26. The grip is way too short even with the finger extension. |
I have no idea about the laser sights....don't use them....I prefer good old night sights.
I personally like the sub-compact Glocks and carry a Glock 27. As bigbulls stated, you really need to give them all a try. I think I read in one of your other posts that you have a Glock 21? If so you might want to look at the Glock 30. Little smaller than the 21 but is a great little pistol to shoot. In fact, it is one of my favorites. |
i like the subcompacts with the finger extension, seems like i can shoot the 26 and 27 just as well as i can the 17 and the 22. They are a little fat for comfortable iwb carry but its doable.

I carry a Glock 19 in a Crossbreed SuperTuck. I'm a bigger guy, 6'1" about 290 so with a hoody or overcoat on I can hide just about anything. I've often contemplated a subcompact but my hand fits the 19 much better than the 26 even with the the +1 mag. I don't use a laser, but I have gripped a 19 and a 26 with the crimson trace and they feel too big and bulky for my hand (yes, I realize the glock grips ARE big and bulky, but I love it :P) The best advise I can give is like the others have said, see if you can handle them all and see if the local gun shop will let you try some in a holster on your side to see what you like best. Good luck!
