Transfer fees

Hey how much is a fair cost to have your online rifle purchase picked up at an ffl?

halfbakedi420 02-10-2011 02:30 PM

Bout $50..maybe cheaper, depends how good of a customer you are.

My gunsmith does it for $20, and he is dead cheap. But in this area, its generally $30 for longgun and $40 for handgun +10dollar MD screw ya fee.

That's about average for California...my guy charges me $50...

You can pay up to $100, so don't just shop for the cheapest.

I like to use my gunsmith, because I use him for everything concerning all my guns; including the transfer !

I have one shop I try and use for everything I need too. She charges me $20. WHich is as cheap as I've found or heard about. I'd expect Cali would be a little higher than rural Northeast Ohio though

Good friend does it for me thru his shop for $25 here in W. PA. But come to think of it, that's what he charges everyone... Hey!!

$50 isn't a fair price. It's a flat out rip off in most area's. A local shop here does it for $12, but several others do it in the $22-25 price range. There are one or two that try to charge $50, but they are also the ones with ridiculous prices on everything.

The local gun store by my house, which is actualy a auto parts store that has a FFl license and has a few guns in stock, only charges $20.
