Pistol Decision
I am heading to a gun show tomorrow and am thinking of getting a new pistol. I am thinking of a Sig 228 or a Springfield. Something comfortable that can be carried. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Ps I'm just not really a Glock guy. |
never mind then

Springfield xdm are greatguns man I'd go that route in a 40

I don't have any experience with Springfield handguns, but my Sig 226 is exceptionally accurate and reliable. It will feed an empty casing. I've got a couple thousand rounds through it and it is as tight as when it was new. The reason you don't see aftermarket parts and addons for Sigs is that they don't need any.

I just sold my Springfield XD. It was a good shooting gun but was very uncomfortable in my hand (I dont care for Glocks much either). I shoot Sigs and love them. I carry a 226 Elite in .40sw as my primary carry piece. I also carry, shoot, and compete with a 226 Elite in 9mm, and a 220 Elite. I also have some in Equinox and or carry models, as well as one 226 X Five comp. I don't think you can go wrong with a Sig but people like different guns for different reasons and there are a lot of good ones out there

Thanks for the info. I have also heard some good things about the Ruger. I guess Ill go see what is available and what fits my hand.

Stick with a better brand and go with a model that fits YOU best and that YOU can reach and easily operate any/all controls.
I find the HK P7M8 and HK P2000sk are best for me as far as autos go. till prefer a revolver though. |
Ended up with a Sig 250. Seems to fit the bill. Long trigger, but smooth.

now, don't forget to go to the Sig Sauer web site and put in for the team sweepstakes
