what does it mean when a gun is "drilled and tapped"?
my mossberg sluggster model 24 is drilled and tapped. do this mean i take those screws out and put on a rail? im looking to put a low power scope on it. if u have any knowledge about the model 24 please tell me cause i inherited this gun from my fathers friends dad. thanks

Yes, the term "drilled and tapped" refers to the reciever and or the barrel being able to accept a sight mount.

Extreme overkill or what? Tom I run into this thinking a lot.... for example a bolt will hold 5000 lbs, and a guy thinks well a 10,000 lbs bolt is better right? When you only need to hold 1000 lbs? Also why make work for yourself if you don't have to? |
