Custom .308 Win.
1 Attachment(s)
I know this is kinda "old school" these days. I used to do stock work for a couple of shops before my kids came along. It's been 25 years since I did any checkering. My youngest son found this stock half shaped, and wondered if we could finish it for his 600 Mohawk .308 Win. with a 700 ADL trigger guard and bolt handle. Took a couple of months of here and there time. The wood came from big log I bought and had cut into slabs around 1980. This is more of a woods gun with that 18 1/2" barrel. Always shot well before, and I guess I didn't screw it up too bad. Shot between 3/4 and 1" for 3 shot groups today, just starting to play with loads. The boy is pretty happy with the gun.:s1:

That stock looks very good. My longest deer kill was with a 600 308--I had a ML but the time came to kill so I grabbed it off a friend :D

Beautiful work. Looks like custom quality. Don't underestimate those 600's. My uncle did a lot of long range shooting with his.

That is beautiful!
I've been hunting, shooting, buyingn selling and trading firearms for over 50 years and the only "seller's remorse" that I have experienced was for a 600 in 6mm Remington. GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!! |
