Winchester SX3 experience?

I have a student that got an new 12 gauge SX3 for Christmas. He took some videos of himself shooting the gun. Looks like it doesn't kick much and is kinda light. Looks like it can fire really fast (he can fire it liked a fully automatic weapon). Any experiences with this shotgun?

Yes I bought one about 4 years ago, when I started doing alot of WF hunting , Its a great shotgun, its basically a browning gold with a really nice teflon looking finish and a nice rubberized stock, and recoil pad ,and yes recoil is very soft. I sold it though cause I realized 3.5" shells werent necessary and very expensive compared to 3" steel. I also experienced some problems with feeding light 2.3/4 shells too. I think they make a 3" version, it a badass shotty though. I bought the std browning silver hunter this year which is also similar , and very light recoiling. Take a look at the browning maxus too.

So the SX3 is like the Browning Gold and the Maxus is a new design from Browning? All new to me as I haven't purchased a shotgun since my Benelli SBE back in 2001. I have some Belgium A-5 Brownings and a Remington 1100, which are all nice guns. I need(want) a light, compact 20 gauge autoloader. Been looking at Franchi and Benelli, but the Browning Silver Micro has a short length of pull and doesn't break the bank. One of Winchester SX3 models has a 14" length of pull.

i have an sx3 (for 2 seasons) and it has never failed. i hunt ducks from 40-50 days a year. mine is a 3.5" but i usually shoot 3" loads. it is light, fires as fast as one can pull the trigger, and is easy to disassemble for cleaning. i have no complaints and highly recommend them. ymmv.

simple and easy to clean, shoots and cycles everything, even when dirty. of course i mean dirty like 300 rounds worth, not 1500. i can't believe that folks expect these autoloaders to function flawlessly without a little maintenance.

If the X3's shoot anything like my 2 X2's they are really nice weapons. I have a WF version, Shadow Grass and 28" barrel and then the black synthetic and 26" barrel. Both shoot 3-1/2" and I maintain them everytime I take them out. Just me and my training. Worth every penny you pay for them. And yes, they are the same as Browning Golds, for I can trade the barrels, triggers and forearms, except the receivers are different, the Golds have the magazine cut off.
