Go to this site and ask. www.varminthunters.com There's quite a few .17 cal shooters there. I hear the .17 Mach IV is the best of the 17's.

It would be like shooting a fast grain of rice.I would imagine it would be okay for very small varmints, other then that I wouldn't have much use for it.At 4000fps I bet it would be hard on the barrels. Ruger Redhawk
