results of the CZ VZ24
i found the 8X57 i picked up acouple of weeks ago to shoot awsome standing with the iron sights. at 100yds and 150yds pretty much dead on. that was with 170gr. fed classics. can' t wait to try the sellor and bellot 196gr. sp also had no recoil whatso ever
anyoes else find there mausers to shoot pretty good for an old gun?

I' ve never seen a czech made mauser that doesn' t shoot good. The swedish mausers on the other hand do not shoot pretty good, they shoot in an outstanding manner.

I have various Mausers that shoot well, but I have also seen and or owned many that can' t hit the side of a barn do to worn out or damaged barrels. As long as you have a good barrel most will shoot just as well if not better than many modern sporting rifles.
