Never had a browning A-bolt...I love Browning shotguns but thier A Bolt is UGLY and asthetics matter to me..
Never had a Savage, either.. They are functional, but also kind of ugly, although they are not as bad as the browning..
I have had Rem 700s, Ruger M77s and Win M70s...I still have them and hunt with them, but I have had issues with all of them..
The only centerfire rifle I own that has NEVER failed to function perfectly is a CZ-550...Damned accurate, too...

My personal choice is the Browning A-bolt/X-bolt. What's not to like about it? The 60 degree glass smooth bolt throw,factory bedded/free float barrel, and tang safety makes it very user friendly and accurate to me. I could have any rifle I want and I choose Browning.

Husqvarna. With original FN Mauser 98 bolt.Proven very reliable in the the very best and some of the worst conditions British Columbia has to offer.Safety works positively,Trigger is very simple they may not have features, that many other rifles triggers offer, but where I hunt, I have seen one rifle trigger fail so far a couple of times now.My Husky has been drug and exposed to and through anything, and will still bang off anything I want to shoot.Swedish Iron Ore is second to none in the world and they make the best steel in the world.You can't always clean and maintain rifles where I hunt, at 10,000 ft up in the middle of nowhere it is tough to do.You do your best with the little you bring. You don't have the priviledge of being at home with endless supply of cleaning solvents and supplies. Yeah these rifles are tough dependable and accurate hunting tools.
