And unfortunately true. Remington could have saved gun manufacturers and owners a lot of grief and trouble by taking the appropriate measures from the beginning.

What is it and why????

Remington 700 in 270.
Why? One of my best friends and my personal gunsmith. { In which I get all work done free {-;} told me it's the one of the best guns made....also Jack Conners wrote about it for years..The other day I stuck a target up on the tree ..I had a tiny green leaf I stuck in the middle of the paper..BOOM!!! went the 270 .It appeared I missed the entire paper..NOT ..LOL it drove the leaf into the tree..SWEET SHOOTIN GUN that's why...and very light..easy to buy ammo. Will hold it's value..long range and accurate..

Default Favorite centerfire bolt action.

I voted Savage for its accuracy, dependability, and flexibility.
I have six Savagr rifles. The ones I love the most are:
250/3000
250/3000 Ackley Improved
257 Roberts
220 Swift
Savage is ideal for a custom platform.
GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!!

well it seems for year Remington knew but never told the public that the model 700 had a mind of their own. I own a 700, not sure if it's part of the problem of 700s, I purchased it almost 10 years ago

Ruger M77 in 25-06, had a Remington in a 25-06 liked the gun just did not like the idea that the safety would click on while shouldered. Nothing like walking through the woods and hear click. Would never keep gun loaded till I got where I was going.

There's a lot more to a rifle than accuracy.

Accuracy is only one requirement...
