Question *Need help deciding on a .40*

I can't decide which gun to get. I have been looking at the Glock 22, SR40 and the S&W M&P. I have read lots of reviews and seen videos of each and every gun but just can't decide on one. I currently have the SR9 and love it. Very accurate and feels really comfortable. I carry it concealed and it is a bit big and heavy but it's not really that big a deal to me. I am wanting to get a .40 to carry also. I am not sure about compact guns though as I have only ever had full size pistols. My dad has a Springfield XD sub compact but it's just not for me. I can get the SR40 for $402 out the door and the others are around $520 or so.

Do you loos accuracy due to the compact because of barrell length?

Anyway any advice or reviews would be helpful.

I have carried a 23 concealed for about 10 years, works for me...A 22 would be a bit larger, I prefer the 23...

In my opinion, the Glock 23 is far more "carry-friendly" than the 22. As far as accuracy, my sub-compact Glocks are the most accurate I own, and I have all three sizes.

I am the same way. I am more accurate with my G27 than either the G23 or G22.

All you mentioned are reliable pistols and also the Steyr M40. No one can really tell you what is best for you. This is a personal decision and only you can pick the one which feels and points best in YOUR hand. Good luck in your quest.

I'd rather have a CZ than those you've listed, but that's just a personal opinion. EVery manufacturer will have it's fans, you need to decide for yourself I think.

Glock 23 and never look back. If its a carry gun, only one id ever consider would be a glock and I love my 23(even though i cant carry). Very accurate and never had one single issue with it. A glock 22 is gonna be a bit big to carry concealed.

I had a CZ P40 and it was a awesome gun but really heavy. I sold it to get something in polymere because I want something lighter.

Thanks for all the imput guys. I will go look at some of them today and see and feel them then make a decision I guess.
