...... Sorry if I misinterpreted your post. I was assuming bigbulls statement was all-inclusive pertaining to short actions... Rems, Win., etc. I realize that this particular scenario is dealing with the Tikka only. That was the basis for my comment....

To bigbulls, I forgot Tikka did that for their rifles, I thank you for reminding me.
To duckbatter48, I know the 280 rem is good cartridge and get the job done, just not fond of it.
I have heard of the 260 and 6.5-284. Another one is a 6.5-06 which I have just come across and now am thinking really strongly on for my tikka with a 26-28 inch barrel. But for now will keep using 25-06. I thank you all.
