T/c prohunter .270
I would like to buy a T/C pro hunter in a .270 caliber but need to know what is the best and most accurate ammo to shoot through the gun. Can anyone help me? Thanks

That's up to you and trial and error. Try several brands and decide yourself.

Best and most accurate can and will vary between guns, even between guns of the same model. The only way to really tell is buy a box and hit the range.
As far as the type of bullets, you need to give us some info regarding the intended use of the gun. 270 Win ammo can be had in bullet weights from around 100gr all the way up to about 160gr. 130 and 150 being the most common. For up to deer sized game, any of the 130gr bullets will do the job. Larger or tougher game will have you leaning toward the heavier 150gr variety. Regardless of which bullets you choose, when you find the bullet that shoots most accurately in your gun, buy a bunch of them. |
get a box of Hornady 130 sst. These shot real well out of my .270. Good luck!!

.270 t/c
Thanks for the info. I was already going to try the 130gr sst to see how they shoot. My most hunted animal with this gun will probably be whitetail. Thanks

I'll add the 140gr SST.

You can buy what you want but for $800 you can get a rifle that is of far higher quality and potentially much more accurate than the TC pro hunter. The TC encore series of rifles has got the be one of the most successful marketing campaigns ever in the firearms world for what should be a sub $300 rifle.
