RE: Is this possible?

you should be able to use any raised scope ring as long as your base is a wever or 5/8 dovetail.

RE: Is this possible?

The below info was pulled right from cabelas website. It is located under optics and then scope accessories. These are standard weaver mounts that will fit on a weaver base. Check them out.

Weaver 1" See-Thru Rings Item: XD-710259
Price: $24.99
Weaver 1" See-Thru Rings
See-through, 1" rings attach to any top-mount ring base with square-cut, cross-bolt slots. They can be detached and remounted easily as top mount rings.

Your only problem will be trying to support your cheek on the stock while looking through the scope. You could put a cheekpad on the stock to raise the height but then you won' t be able to get your head low enough to see the sights.Go with regular mounts as low powered scopes are faster and brighter than open sights anyways.

Millett makes a saddle mount that fits over BOTH sides of the 870. It' s weaver style so you can put weaver see thru rings on it.

RE: Is this possible?

You can do it...no problem. I had one on my 1100. Hated it to death. Had to rubberneck to shoot.

Also, I could never make the decision quick enough about which one to use. It just makes one more decision that you have to make in that split second.

Put a red-dot on her. That' ll take care of both problems.
