Ruger deerfield

What are my chances of finding one of these and what would the price be? I have been told they are great brush guns for east Texas deer. Anybody have Amy input on the Deerfield?

Or it the lever action 44mag better or as good? Why would be the going price of one of those? And how hard are they to find?

Or would it be better to just go with a new marlin in 44mag?

To me, a brush gun is generally short, light and fast handling. It is not some slinger of bullets that magically plow through brush. Therefore, I'd get something like a Browning Micro Medallion, or a Ruger Ultralight M77, in a caliber like 308.

Id getta marlin 1894 44 mag. My dad has a ruger jams all the time and the marlin I had was more accurate.
