heres a pic of my 1951 rem 721 and my 1929 browning a5 lite 12ga.it seems most here like the new spiffy rigs out now and consider mine obsolete but its gooder than the new replacemennts and both better built.remington return to the craftmanship of old.

Those are good guns. I'm a younger shooter. In my 20s but I too enjoy shooting and hunting with old guns. I ocasionaly hunt with a 1878 trapdoor Springfield and shoot my 1873 winchester44-40 a few times a year. I'm ocasionally seen with a colt saa 45 made in 1901 when I'm just out walking around

Those are some might fine looking firearms, jdhogg. I have had one "new" shotgun. I didn't like it at all, it felt weird. The feel of a solid wood stock, the way that a bolt slide home on the older guns, the experience just can't be replicated.

Nothing wrong with older stuff. Nice weapons jdhogg.

You couldn't possibly know what "most here" like. Personally I have a Swedish Mauser 1917 that is the cats axx and shot for shot, using similar sighting devices put it up against anything more 'modern'.

Fine looking firearms, Hogg...

I have a weakness for vintage guns... Never met a browning A-5 or a Winchester Model 12 that I didn't like....They just have such a solid businesslike feel to them, and I have always shot well with them.. I've owned a few over the years and shot many others that belonged to friends..Currently I am down to a Win M12 16 gauge and a Browning A5 light twenty...
