Do you guys have sample courses of fire and downloadable targets for practice? My fiancee and I would like to come to one of the events, but she says she has to practice first!

PM me your email address so I can attach some targets and a COF....I would suggest some dryfiring, too...follow our "six steps to firing the shot". That will help you out a LOT!

So are these open sight only shoots? I just realized how few open sighted rifles I have! And I can't think of the last time I've shot one! I know my fiancee has never shot an open sighted rifle other than a BB gun... We're scope folk! Is there a scope class or something for us sinners?

VETERANS SHOOT FREE!
From November 11-December 31, 2010 military Veterans may attend Appleseed shoots at no charge (other than range fees, etc)! Register as "active military" and bring proof of service to the shoot. THIS IS NEW, JUST GOT IT THIS MORNING!:barmy: |

Jan 15th "Winterseed" shoot report, Christian Hills Camp in Eureka:
Great group of shooters....several returning to Appleseed, and several first-timers. Weather wasn't bad, NO WIND all morning (unusual for Kansas), then the wind picked up in the afternoon and it started getting cold. Wow! What a GREAT day.....15 shooters braved the snow, cold and wind to learn rifle marksmanship and Revolutionary War heritage in Eureka. While no one qualified, I think ALL of the shooters would agree that they learned a lot.
