Which pistol to buy?

Thinking of getting a semi-auto hand gun and was considerint a Springfield Armory XDM 9. But they only seem to come in DA and I really want/need a SA/DA pistol. So....I'm still considering the XDM 9 but what do y'all recommend?

If you don't like DA only then don't buy it. I don't like DA only either. Lots of other choices out there.

It's YOUR so buy what appeals to YOU and feels best in YOUR hand. Go to a gun shop, eliminate those that don't appeal to you and go from there. Like every thread of this "what should I buy" kind, the responders will simply tell you to buy whatever favorite it is that they have. In doing so, eere it me, I'd say buy a P7M8 but their manual-of-arms is not for everyone not is their cost.

The XD9 is a fantastic pistol. For the price its hard to find something better.

IMO - The only thing better than a XD9, is a XDM9.

I'm in, as soon as I have the money !

One thing with handguns; how it "feels" in the hand is paramount !!!

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, so far the one that is calling my name is the XDM 9mm, regardless of the DA trigger I suppose. Others seem to be happy with theirs so it can't be that bad? I need to find a place where I can test fire one. Heck, I'm used to pulling back a 12.5 lb trigger on an Beretta M9 so it can't be that bad!

Go to a good range, and rent one there.......................

Worth it to ease your mind, concerning your purchase !

I recommend you get a bb gun or a blow dryer.

Yet another newbie/moderator post.

Take a look at a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm.
