SCOPE POWER FOR .243 WSSM
 

WHAT ARE SOME OPINIONS ON A SCOPE POWER RANGE FOR A .243 WSSM MODEL 70 COYOTE.
THE SCOPE WILL BE A BURRIS
THE ONES I HAVE NOW THAT I WAS THINKING ABOUT WERE A SIG. 4-16 ELECTRO DOT, SIG. 4-16 BAL-MIL DOT, OR A FFII 6-24 BAL-MIL DOT.

SO WHAT WOULD BE BETTER 4-16 OR 6-24?

i WAS THINKING OF USING THE 6-24 FOR MY .17HMR

I would put the 4-16 on your HMR, and the 6-24 on the WSSM.


The .17 HMR is only a rimfire. It' s accuracy depends on the wind. Ususally, the round MIGHT make it out to 200 yards with accuracy, with a slight breeze. The .243 WSSM will reach a greater distance then the HMR, since it is a faster round and a heavier bullet. I beleive the HMR only goes 2660 FPS....not positive on that though..... I would put the 6-24 on the WSSM. Just my opinion.
