Default Can't find rifles in .260 Remington....

Hello all, been a while. I'm at my wits end finding a rifle in .260 that meets these requirements:

20" barrel (or close)
.260 Remington
Weight under 8 lbs empty (lighter the better)
Can't be a Remington Model 7 (too short/small)
No 3-position safeties
under $1,000

I REALLY want a Tikka T3 in this caliber but they are not available in the US (says Beretta). As always I am looking for a used one. I believe the Tikkas are the best gun for the money, at least as a beginner gun.

Any ideas about rifles available in .260 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If that's what you are set on, I'd get .243/7mm-08 or .308 in your choice of rifles and have it rebarreled...

The Good Lord is giving you a sign, to opt 7mm-08 instead...

I considered 7mm-08 but I already have a .308. I'm set on a .260. It's a great little round.

I also considered 6.5x55 Swede but not going to do it.

my advice...get a .243 or 7mm-08, IMO the 7mm is the popular version of the .260...

Good choice. Keep checking Gunbroker.com. I bought a Sako 75 in that caliber and love it. Hard to find these days but worth it when you do.
