The most felt recoil

I like alittle recoil. What gun/load has come the closest to being near your limilt?
For me,the most recoil has come from a Winchester 1300 w/plastic butt plate shooting 2 .oz 4x6 3" duplex loads. The gun was so light it wasn't funny when the trigger was pulled.

Ithaca 12ga deerslayerII w/ winchester partion gold slugs, Ouch! That gun has since moved on down the line.

10 gauge, pulling double triggers on a SXS; when I was a kid (nut !!!).

REM Mod 7 in .350 Rem Mag shooting Nosler 250 grain Partions at 2500 FPS without the scope on.

My Swarovski 1.25-4X tames it "a little" when mounted.

For "big guns" I’ve own a: 300Win, 8x68S, .45-90 and a .45-100, and a Benelli SBE in 3.5", but the little .350 trumps them all in the pain department. It’s great for carrying, fantastic in the woods, just painful off the bench.

has anyone shot a .378wby? I've heard that's the worst...1 shot and you've had enough...

300win mag
340wby
12ga.

Have yet to find something I couldn't/wouldn't shoot.

Perhaps something from 375hh to .458lott will but I think those will be a big shove rather than a sharp punch.

Would love to try a big bore. The .577 T-rex would be nice.Once anyway!

Time to get yourself one I'm thinking! haha.

Maybe not the .577trex but everyone needs a .375H&H, or .458lott/win.mag.

course a .375 I believe "is only" a medium bore so I guess everyone needs a .458 then??

In my Browning BPS 3.5" 12 gauge, my turkey loads are the Nitro Ammo Co's 2 & 5/8 ounce duplex load. A friend who shoots the identical load and identical shotgun calculated the recoil to be almost 85 lbs. I'm not sure if it is 85 lbs but I can tell you that I have had enough after three or four shots from the bench!
