Thinking of maybe going up to the 44 mag.

What a good deer round? has anyone used the lever revolution?

Thanks again

Bill

I would check out the S&W 629 Classic .44 mag 6.5"

It works!

I have killed a deer and my brother has killed a hog with the leverevolutions and I personally think they are as good a hunting round as you'll find in factory loaded ammo. I also feel that the price is fair for the perfomance compared to brands that offer "premium ammo" at a premium price.

Mt. Man,
That is a Leupold 2.5-8x32mm handgun scope. You definitely want to invest in quality optics.
I reload, there are alot of premium loads available. I have been loading the Swift A-Frame 240 gr. for my hunting loads. I have also used Hornady 240 gr. XTP and Barnes XPB 225 gr. The gun is capable of lethal groups just over 100 yds. My suggestion is to zero in at 50 yds. and practice.
Ear protection on stand is a must.

Just got my first pistol, S&W 686 6" ported 357. Can't wait to get my coupon so I can pick it up and get it on the range. Thanks for all the help.
