RE: THIS IS IMPORTANT!
And this is so important because? What will end up happening is you will be kicking yourself in the butt for selling your Savage. The Handi' s shoot well, but they are not target rifles. I get 1" groups at 100 yards out of my 45/70 and about 1.5" out of the 243. Savage makes rifles chambered in 7mm-08 Rem, but if I couldn' t afford one I would keep the 30-06. Nothing against the H&Rs, but they aren' t a Savage.

1" at 100 yards. Really doubt it. I don' t kick myself for trading my savage.

RE: THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Doubt all you want. I don' t mind. Shocked me that it would actually shoot a 1" 3 shot group too.

RE: THIS IS IMPORTANT!
I' ve seen handi rifles that shoot pretty good, and others that shoot downright lousy.

Frizzellr, wasn' t aiming at you. He asked what he could expect. I was saying its kinda doubtful to expect a MOA rifle from them. Its nice if it happens, but I wouldn' t hold my breath on it.

RE: THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Your groups with a Handi-Rifle depend on whether you can find ammo that your gun likes. When I first got mine in .223, it wouldn' t shoot 2" groups at 100. I floated the barrel, had the trigger worked, and found out that Black Hills ammo is matched well to my gun. Now a 1" group isn' t great for me at 100yds....
That said, I had one in 243, and it was a 1.5" gun consistently, with no work at all. |
