It's the same thing. All AI's have a 40' shoulder.

Thanks for stating the obvious. I was curious about the actual cartridge as the 6mm was another one of Remington's red-headed step children.

Same story with the 7mm Express / 280 Remington?

yep, reckon they'll ever get it right? the couple times they did (the short mags, and the 5mm), they were ahead of they're times and were basicly ignored.

I could never figure out the demise of the 7mm SAUM. I suppose Winchester got there first? Although the 7WSM seems to be fading in models offered. I like the idea of a short action 7mm. Something that is able to push 160's over 3,000 fps would be nice. Gamble on getting brass I suppose.
I actually had two of the 5mm, and practically gave them away. Now you can get the ammo from Centurian for nothing.

RR.. On paper that 8mm Rem Mag looked like an awesome load as well and has almost died. Did you ever fool with that one any?

Thanks RR. That makes sense. Least Simpson seen fit to make the cartridge what it should have been from the start.
