Just wondering.....

What's the latest?

Tried a search here with no results.

What to do? Take the offer, try to sell it, hang on to it as a collectors item?

Any advice?

The 597 was junk long before the .17!!!!
It will make a good door stop or paper weight!

recalled/pos!id rather have a 17 bolt action than a semi auto.

Remington 597 semi not one of the best made rifles that REMINGTON produced ...had one and it kept jamming ..if it was the old mod.99 nylon ..now that is worth hanging on too ..
