Lots of good choices. The lightweight snubbies from Ruger and from S&W are fine weapons. The compact Glocks - more caliber than you want but I carry a G36 and find that it slips easily into my pocket or comfortably IWB.
Another favorite - a medium sized gun? Compact? The Makarov comes to mind. A fat fast bullet, more energy than the SB+P .38s, in a package about the same size as a snubbie.

Top shelf, Kimber Ultra CDP in 45 cal. Second choice would be the Walther PPS in 40 S&W.

I am going to add another vote for the Glock 27. Any caliber but I prefer the .40

My CCW is a XD Sub Compact in .40. Easy to carry lots of holsters availble for it. Love mine!
