Ruger #1 RSI .270.....
I own a Ruger #1 RSI (Mannlicher stock) in .270 winchester. I dressed it with offset Ruger rings and a Nikon Buckmasters 3x9x40 matte black scope. Can anybody tell me what this rifle set up is worth? I've put 10 rounds through it and that was 10 years ago. It's definetely in mint condition. I still have the box and paperwork that came with it. Also, give me your feedback as to what you think of this particular make and model. Much appreciated thank you.

I would estimate your Ruger would be worth around $900 to $950 without the Nikon scope, selling to a private party. If the stock has real nice wood, you may get another $50 to $75.

The wood on it is absolutely gorgeous. My dad calls it a "Ghost Fiddleback" finish. Rotate the gun and the finish kind of changes and glimmers (if that makes any sense). Yeah really nice wood!

Go to gunbroker.com and see what they are selling for. Just search for your gun and completed auctions and you should be able to figure it out.

That's one of my favorite sites. I've gone on and haven't seen anything in the .270 that I have. Oh well guess I'll just keep looking around.

A quality piece of wood like you describe will often catch a buyers eye. And in 270 caliber, you can hold off for a good price. Sounds like a real nice piece.

Well i appreciate all the responses thank u. If there's anything or anyone else please feel free to continue this thread.

I just bought the same rifle with gorgeous burl throughout ....brand new ...local gun shop ....959+ tax....(Michigan) |
I used to won one a long time ago. Beautiful gun.

About a year ago a local shop had a used one that was in like new condition. It had a pos scope. I watched it sit there for a couple of months and finally talked em down to $700 out the door. I went back a couple of days later to get it only to find someone got it before me. That one still hurts.

Edit -I was way wrong and thinking of a different gun.

I would agree that the price is a bit too high. That said, the full-stocked Mannlicher types are nitche guns sought after by many. Problem is that even though it's in good shape and a good caliber, it's used. My guess is more around the $750.00 neighborhood.

Ruger #1 is a single shot and for those that like them it would bring a good price. I'm even thinking about one myself. How was the recoil and the accuracy of the 270 in that little gem? I've been looking at these recently and the prices are running $850 and up depending on the wood and whether they have a scope.

I think Sniper is pretty close to the mark, I've owned seven #1's, still have my 1B in .204, deadly accurate--gun shop in my area has another like it for $850, they also have a choice 1B in 06 for just under $900---each of these has beautiful wood [pretty common on the #1's]---new on Bud's they average a little over $800, the offset rings cost $40 to $60 depending on the source and a decent scope is worth at least a hundred, plus, it's a common and desireable caliber---I wouldn't accept less than $950 for it. If it was mine, I'd keep it-----
