Installing Uncle Mike's QD Sling Swivels

I can't get these sons of bitches open. I screw it to the left and right and cannot remove the piece. I don't want to damage them. I just bought a weatherby and these came with it, also with NO instruction of how to install them. Sorry if this is seems like a novice question but I have never dealt with this kind of sling swivel.

Anyway can anyone explain in detail how to open and attach these to my studs?

Not it doesn't, being as they are inexpensive I even tried a pair of needle nose pliers to see if they were just stuck...nothing. I have googled and looked everywhere to find a site that explains how they work. Even my weatherby manual doesn't explain.

I figured it out, you just unscrew the black part, then push in on it and it twists.

Really not much explanation when you get it though, I just kept trying to unscrew it.

#1. Pull out on the plastic sleeves while at the same time unscrewing them.

#2. Once the plastic sleeves are unscrewed, push in and it will open the other side.

#3. Twist the other side to hold open.

See image below.
