Winchester 1200/1300/ barrels
Hello,
I have a Winchester 1200 20ga with a standard modified choke barrel. I was lookingto put a rifled slug barrel on it for my younger son but can not find barrels for a 1200. Someone told me 1300 model barrels are compatible but another told me he was not sure. Can anyone confirm that a rifled slug barrel for a 1300 model will wok properly on a model 1200?
Thanks
KR

As far as I know yes they will interchange, you should be able to put a 1300 3" barrel on a 2 3/4" gun but you won't be able to feed 3" shells thru it, just 2 3/4' shells.

Remington 870 is the same way, I have an old 2 3/4" gun but the newer 3" chambered barrels will fit, just won't feed 3" shells.

I've got a Ranger 120 with the bird barrel and would like to get a deer barrel for it as well but I'd buy a new Mossberg 500 with a rifled barrel and a bird barrel for about the same money as just the barrel they're selling on gun broker. I've never seen much for deals on barrels there and that goes for any caliber. Spending over $200.00 for just a barrel seems ridiculous. JMO
