Leupold dual dovetail mounts?

Will these be good on a Savage 110 in 7mm Rem Mag?

That is what I have on my rem700 and I have the burris version on my savage 10ml. They are both rock solid and very clean looking. check em out.Attachment 6179

I don't beleive Leupold makes a Dual Dovetail Mounting system for the Savage 110, but they do make a Quick Release System which will do the job. Good luck.

I have already explained to you the down falls of Leupold rings on your other thread but you seem destined to not listen to good advice.

I can git um lined up even.

Only if you have a ring lapping kit and are going to lap the rings yourself or pay a gunsmith to do it for you.

For the about the same money you can get several different mounting systems that are far superior to DD. Why choose inferior products?

But knock yourself out.

Hey, awesome! I got a name like Drift Rider. I feel special now.

PMing the the mods again.

But to answer the question...... Loose fitting dovetails, ring caps that do not align with the ring body, aluminum screws instead of steel screws, minimal contact with the scope tube.

Kuntt,

What woes have you seen in theflesh?

Laffin'..........

I have recently had woes. On a 1895 one piece base, the dove tail was so loose, you could turn in the bottom Leupold ring with two fingers. Figured bad rings. Tried another set and still loose. Turns out to be the base.

Had a strange issue where the torx screws were not mated well to a set of rings. Had to take them back.

On my 460Smith, I am having trouble holding a scope. But I have tried 3 sets of rings and all have trouble. Currently using maximas and they are holding. Believe it or not, leupold customer service is telling me to mount my scope so it touches errector assembly so it won't move. Kinda shocked me.

But if I lap my rings, I can't say I have much problems.

DD mounts would never be my first choice but I do have a set mounted on a Contender barrel that have never been a problem. If you use them plan on lapping them in. I have found that any dovetail mount system, be it one or dual, tend to be a one time thing. If you ever disassemble the ring/mount from the gun they never work as well the next install and get progressive worse with each remount.
