Remington seems to have "hit the crapper" on most of the guns they currently produced including ones that have been around for a long time and been great in the past. My experience with Remington products has been that the quality just isn't there. I don't see how they are still even in business.

Git an 870 and leave that pos plastic coated''shotgun''alone!

I never thought the 870 was that expensive anyway. What market are they trying to go after with the 887?

All of the Remingtons that I own were made in the 70's, so I'm not sure what the quality of an 870 is now.

At wally world,a Remington 870 12 gauge is $287.870 express w a camo stock is somewhere around $320.IMO,b4 id pay that for a remington,id buy a Mossberg 500 for $227.

the 887 is horrible. i can't believe they are trying to reinvent the wheel on this one. the prive point is held solid by the 870 so why try to compete with yourself? the actions are rough and stiff. I've already had guys wanting to trade in there new 887's after they bought them. heck i had a guy trade in a 870 and them the next weekend call me from the duck blind asking if i still had is old gun, he wanted it back.

I have one and so do a couple fellow waterfowlers. We love them. It has been a great gun, and I have abused the hell out of it. Never an issue with function. It is knarly lookin but it kills birds, what more could i ask for?

LOL....17 negative posts about this gun and not one of you own one. What a joke! I wish people with 1st hand experience about a gun would only post. Thats what turns me off about this site.....alot of gun snobs.

Yikes. I gave the 887 a feel at scheels. Not too good!
