ammo price

What is the normal price differnts for high power rifle ammo. Say for the 30-06, .308, 7mm rm, 300rm, 300 wsm,. Seems to me 30-06 and 308 runs the cheapest cabelas is saling 308 for about 110 for 100 rounds and the 7mm and 300 wsm are running about 175 for the same ammo. Both are the winchester super x ammo in bulk

A buck a round is usually the low end for many of the high power cartridges. Seems a price check on cabela's answered your own question :D

I can only say for the 30-06 really as it's all I've bought. I take that back I bought a friend a box of .243 as they were sold out in the town he lives. I live almost 3 hours away and they had some here so I picked up a box. I think it was $18 at Wal Mart for 20 rounds of Winchester Super X Power Points.

Anyway, for the 30-06 when Wal Mart has it in stock which is rare the Federal Power Shok stuff in both 150 and 180 grain is $14 a box. This same stuff seems to range from $18-23 at other places. $18 being about the cheapest I've seen it elsewhere. The Winchester is $18 and I'm not sure on the Remingtons. The Federal Fusions I shoot are often around $30 a box at Dicks and other places here however, sometimes you can find them on sale at Dicks for cheaper.

I load my 7mm Rem Mag at .35 cents a round.
R/P Brass
CCI large mag primers
65grn 4831SC
Sierra 150grn SBT Gamekings

That's $7 a box
I shoot'm inch high at a 100 just like Remington Coreloks.

300WM ammo is considerably more expensive than 30-06. If cost is an issue, stick with a standard non-magnum caliber like 308, 30-06, 270.
