I dont shoot a .270 but the Hornady interlock has done awsome in .243 and 7-08 for me

There are probably a 100 good options out there.
The majority are desgined for deer hunting, it hard to make a bad choice.
Pick a few that shoot well out of your rifle and test them out.

The gun I carried for twenty years loved "SILVERTIP WINCHESTER" in 130 grain round. Its taken deer for me and my family for years. If you going Elk hunting step up to 150 grain. Give them a try.

Nothin' wrong with the ole power points. People want to go fancy sometimes, but it's a waste of money for deer hunting. 'Plain' bullets are very effective.

I agree that whichever one is most accurate is probably your best choice. I shoot Federal Fusions for that reason.

If you are getting good groups with what you have been shooting, then by all means there is no reason to switch if deer are all that is on the menu. If you want to try something else, then try some Remington Core-Lokts, the plain ones and also some blue box Federals. No reason to step up to the high priced stuff just for deer. My pops has always like the Winchester Silver Tips, one killed an elk for him last year in 150gr.

I shoot 130 Core-lokts out of my Model 70. I get less than 1" @ 100yds, so no reason to try anything else in my opinion. If you are getting good groups out of those PPT's I wouldn't change. Remington Core-lokts, Winchester PPTs, and Federal Powershocks are pretty much equal, just good solid performers. Boils down to what color box you like I guess. Every rifle I've owned I've shot core-lokts out of to begin with. If I can't get decent groups, I might try something different. Well, so far nothing but green and yellow boxes for me!

Oh yeah, except my 30-06. Shoots Core-lokts like a dream, but my wife read some article about lead fragments in ground deer meat and asked me to switch to an all copper bullet. Sure honey, I don't mind spending $60/box for Barnes Triple Shock.....

Now those are some sweet bullets, a bit of a step up from CoreLocts. So I splurged a little...you only live once.

Splurge away....
